The Social Impact Industry business seminar, “From Challenge to Solution,” was held in Astana on October 27 by the international IT cluster Astana Hub, with participation from the hub’s residents and the company GREEN-API, to discuss the technological challenges facing the industry today and the solutions offered by IT companies. We invite you to read about the results in our article.

From Companies’ “Pain Points” to Technological Solutions
The seminar’s title accurately conveys its message because, sooner or later, every company faces a challenge that cannot be overcome with internal resources alone—and that’s where like-minded professionals from the tech world, who know how to solve such problems, can step in to help. This workshop served as precisely such a platform, where residents could exchange ideas and find common ground for future collaboration.

It’s worth noting that we always respond with great interest to invitations from Astana Hub, because for GREEN-API, it’s not just a moderator but our home IT cluster—one within which we grow and develop. Therefore, missing such an event means missing out on useful information and valuable insights from the market’s top players.
Social Impact: Contributing to the Future of the Country’s IT Industry
An interesting point was raised during the meeting: while the success of tech companies is typically measured by revenue, exports, investments attracted, and the number of jobs created, Astana Hub believes that, for the market’s sustainable development, it is equally important to share knowledge so that dozens of promising projects can grow around a single strong one.
The Social Impact program is designed to achieve these goals, as it is a system through which Astana Hub assesses the contribution that hub participants make to the development of Kazakhstan’s IT industry—for example, whether companies offer student internships, whether educational programs are in place, whether consulting services are provided to early-stage startups, and other opportunities for knowledge sharing. For each verified activity, companies receive Social Tokens—an internal currency that reflects progress within this project.
Why This Matters for GREEN-API
For over 10 years, our company has helped developers and businesses with affordable APIs for popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and MAX. As a result, we understand the real challenges businesses face: customer notifications, chat support, newsletters, and integrations with CRMs and other systems—tasks that may seem minor on the surface but actually run routine business operations. It’s important for us to know what issues companies bring to these meetings and to understand where our solutions can help them.

By the way, Astana Hub residents aren’t just our neighbors in the cluster—they’re potential clients—so each of them can “test drive” our service for free before scaling up and switching to a paid plan.
Conclusion
The Impact Industry seminar demonstrated once again that a strong IT ecosystem is built not only on revenue and investment, but also on the willingness of colleagues to share their experience, listen to others’ challenges, and help those around them grow. We’re glad that GREEN-API has become part of this initiative and will continue to accept invitations from Astana Hub.
