Chats#

To display chats, the instance must be authorized!

The Chats tab in the console is intended for convenient conversation management and message control.

Chats are implemented using the journal methods:

Chats are available in two variants:

  1. Mini chat on the instance page
  2. Full chat in a dedicated window

Mini chat#

The chat on the instance page displays the conversations that were conducted from the number connected to the instance.
The chat is located on the right half of the instance page.

  • Period of displayed conversations: 24 hours
    If no messages were exchanged during the past 24 hours, the chats will be empty.
  • Number of chats: up to 5
    If there were more conversations, the 5 most recent ones are displayed.
  • Number of displayed messages: unlimited
  • Chat refresh: once every 15 seconds

Only text messages can be sent in the mini chat.

By hovering over a message and clicking the tick at its bottom, you can see information about the received/sent message.

Full chat#

The chat displays the conversations that were conducted from the selected instance.
The chat can be opened from the side menu using the "Chats" button or from the mini chat by clicking "Open chats".

  • Period of displayed conversations: 14 days
    If no messages were exchanged during the past two weeks, the chats will be empty.
  • Number of chats: unlimited
  • Number of displayed messages in conversations: unlimited
  • Chat refresh: once every 15 seconds

How to switch to another instance?#

To switch between instances, simply open the drop-down list at the top of the window and select the required instance from the list.

How to start a conversation?#

To start a conversation with a new number that you have not corresponded with (or the correspondence was more than 14 days ago), click the contact icon next to the instance number.

The "New chat" window will open, where you can specify a phone or chat number and the text of the message being sent.
Then click the send icon (the green paper plane).

Dialogue window#

When you click a chat in the list, a dialogue window opens where you can see:

  • Contact name - next to the avatar
  • Contact number - in the right corner of the window
  • The conversation with the contact
  • The new message input box - at the bottom of the window

What does an empty avatar with an exclamation mark mean?

If the avatar is displayed as empty with a red exclamation mark, it means that this contact's avatar is not available to you.
This can happen in two cases:
1. The contact has enabled privacy settings
2. The contact has blocked you

How to see information about a contact/group?#

By clicking the Contact name you can open the contact/group information window, which will show:

  • The group name
  • The group id
  • The number and the list of participants
  • Who created the group and when
  • The group administrators

How to send a file?#

To send a file/contact/location/poll, click the paperclip icon in the lower left corner of the window.
A drop-down list will open where you can choose exactly what you want to send to the chat.

How to change a sent message?#

To change/delete a sent message, hover the cursor over the message and click the tick that appears.
A drop-down list of available actions for the message will open.

1. Message information - allows you to see the data about a message (both received and sent)
