Settings#

To ensure that you receive notifications, webhooks, or up-to-date data in chats, you need to set up your instance correctly.

You can use the SetSettings method to set up an instance, or change the settings in the console.

How do I change the settings?#

Open your console and select the instance whose settings you want to change.
Click on the selected instance to go to its page.

Here you can specify the address for sending webhooks, set the message sending delay or choose which notifications you want to receive.

Notifications are set not only when you need to receive them on the server or via HTTP methods.
You also need to enable notifications to receive data in Chats.

Toggle the sliders for the settings you need.

After changing the settings, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the screen

The settings you selected are now saved to the instance.
It takes up to 5 minutes for the settings to apply.

Which settings to enable?#

Enabling settings depends on your needs - what data you need to receive.

  • To see incoming messages, enable Receive webhooks on incoming messages and files
  • To see messages sent from your phone, enable Receive webhooks on messages sent from phone
  • To see the statuses of sent messages, enable Receive webhooks on sent messages statuses
  • To receive edited messages, enable Get notifications about edited messages
  • To see if your interlocutor (or you) has deleted a message, enable Get notifications about deleted messages
  • To see updates to polls, enable Get notifications about surveys

These settings will ensure that you receive the most complete data from your WhatsApp chats.
