- WhatsApp is announcing a shift to nicknames instead of traditional phone numbers, emphasizing the uniqueness of its users and seeking to provide greater anonymity in the digital world.

It's time to talk about WABA's key improvements this year. The platform's developers have focused on new capabilities, one of the most important being user onboarding through a new Cloud API registration setting, allowing client companies to connect to the provider via an existing WhatsApp Business account and phone number.
Over the course of the year, the platform has been updating the messenger's policies:
- Transition from a 24-hour chat rate to a per-message rate. Rates are now applied to each delivered template SMS, such as marketing, utility, and authorization messages.
- Free messages within the 24-hour Customer Service Window. If a customer messages or opens a chat first, the 24-hour window begins. During this period, service or utility templates can be sent free of charge.
- Introducing volume discounts. Pricing tiers have been introduced for utility and authorization messages. Volumes are calculated by category and country and reset monthly.
- Reduced rates for authorization and utility templates. The cost of utility messages has been reduced in a number of countries.
- New message limits were introduced in the fall. From now on, limits will apply not to each phone number, but to the entire business portfolio, allowing businesses to obtain the maximum available limit without the "warming up" period required previously. Entrepreneurs thus gain a powerful tool for scaling their businesses, and WhatsApp gains grateful customers who will remain loyal to the platform for years to come.
